Justice Ready Inc. (“Justice Ready,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and safeguard personal information in connection with our web-based legal software application (the “Service”).
This Policy is intended to comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Canadian privacy principles. Justice Ready currently operates in Ontario, Canada.
1. Scope of this Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to:
- users of the Justice Ready application;
- visitors to our website; and
- personal information collected in the course of providing the Service.
This Policy does not apply to third-party websites or services that may be linked from our Service.
2. Nature of the Service
Justice Ready provides software tools that allow users to draft, store, and manage legal documents, including court documents such as affidavits, and to upload and store related exhibits.
The Service may be used by individuals acting on their own behalf or on behalf of others, including litigants, law clerks, legal professionals, or other authorized representatives. Justice Ready does not independently verify the identity, authority, or accuracy of information entered into the Service.
3. Personal Information We Collect
a. Information you provide directly
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect personal information including:
- name;
- email address;
- mailing or physical address;
- telephone number;
- account credentials;
- information contained in legal documents drafted or uploaded through the Service;
- uploaded files, including PDFs and images;
- communications sent to us for support or inquiries.
This information may relate to you or to third parties on whose behalf you are preparing documents.
b. Sensitive information
The Service is designed to handle confidential and legally sensitive information, including information typically contained in court documents and sworn materials. Users are responsible for ensuring they have the authority to enter personal information relating to others.
c. Automatically collected information
We may collect limited technical information automatically, such as:
- IP addresses;
- authentication and access logs;
- timestamps and usage data;
- device or browser information necessary for security and functionality.
4. Purposes of Collection
We collect and use personal information for purposes including:
- providing, operating, and maintaining the Service;
- creating and managing user accounts;
- enabling document drafting, storage, and retrieval;
- securing the Service and preventing unauthorized access;
- communicating with users regarding their accounts or the Service;
- responding to inquiries and support requests;
- meeting legal and regulatory obligations.
5. Consent
By using the Service and providing personal information, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of that information as described in this Privacy Policy.
You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice.
6. Disclosure of Personal Information
We do not sell personal information.
We may disclose personal information to service providers that support the operation of the Service, including:
- hosting, database, and authentication providers;
- content delivery and security providers;
- email delivery service providers.
These service providers process information only for purposes related to providing the Service and are subject to contractual or legal obligations regarding confidentiality and security.
7. Data Storage and Cross-Border Processing
Justice Ready uses third-party infrastructure providers, including Supabase, Cloudflare, and Postmark.
As a result:
- personal information may be stored or processed outside of Canada, including in the United States or other jurisdictions;
- information may be processed on servers located in multiple countries for performance, reliability, and security purposes.
Personal information remains subject to this Privacy Policy and applicable Canadian privacy laws, although foreign jurisdictions may have different legal requirements.
8. Retention of Personal Information
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law.
When an account is deleted or personal information is no longer required:
- information will be removed from active systems within a reasonable period;
- copies may persist in backups for a limited time in accordance with our backup and recovery practices;
- certain information may be retained where required to meet legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations.
9. Access, Correction, and Deletion Requests
You have the right to:
- request access to your personal information;
- request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete information;
- request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal limitations.
At launch, account deletion requests are handled manually. Requests may be submitted by email to:

We will respond to access or deletion requests within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days, unless additional time is required due to complexity or legal obligations.
10. Safeguards
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including access controls, encryption where appropriate, and secure hosting environments.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children and Minors
The Service is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Users are responsible for ensuring they have the legal authority to use the Service and to provide personal information relating to others, including where minors are involved in legal proceedings.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on our website, and the effective date will be updated accordingly.
Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
